First run in 2010, SportPromote has been developed to provide training for any healthcare professional who is required to care for an athlete or team of athletes. The course is primarily aimed towards doctors and physiotherapists.

The course focuses on providing the knowledge and skills required to manage the acutely injured or unwell athlete. The course covers a wide range of conditions including the management of spinal and head injury, as well as cardiac arrest and collapse.

Working with UEFA, the SportPromote Faculty have helped to develop the UEFA Football Doctor Education Programme (FDEP) Pitchside Emergencies course which is now taught during the SportPromote course. 

This course has now been cascaded across Europe and it is a reflection on the exceptional standards of teaching that the SportPromote Faculty continue to be asked by UEFA to run this course for the National Association team doctors.

Managing a pitchside medical or trauma emergency requires not only the necessary skills and knowledge but also access to medical equipment that is simple to use and works regardless of the situation. Working with Promote Medical we have designed a range of medical bags putting human factors at the core of our products. Now the official FIFA Pitchside Emergency Care bag this addition has proved a gamechanger.
